WebBase by DMAC Now Goes To Second Release

WebBase by DMAC, our clients’ chance to be their own application service provider, has moved to its second release. The new release is faster, prettier, and more stable. It also now allows concurrent user measurement and free form interface to other DMAC products.

Beta users are still being accepted for WebBase. All the normal, and some unusual, inducements are being made to get users to jump into the unknown world of web data entry.

Fortunately with the advent of wireless web access and faster and faster access speeds, old issues against using the web are disappearing. New opportunities occur rapidly too. For instance does using the web make it more or less likely the keyer is a subcontractor? Can demographic data be split from name and address info so keyers cannot filch the data? Can India or Jamaica or where ever provide the keyers for US WebBase sites? Can a synchronous cable modem allow the WebBase server to be at the Service Bureau? Can you take inventory with a wireless PalmVII attached to the web? Can you index 100000 records on demand? See, answers are not easy.
