Area Code Becomes 540 Now

DMAC's Area Code Becomes 540 Now Clients took over a year to adjust to the new telephone number when DMAC moved to Winchester. A change now upon DMAC in area code from 703 to 540 must happen within the next three months.

AT&T has converted its lines to handle an area code which does not have a zero or a one as the middle digit. Private telephone exchanges may not realize that they must convert soon too.

Test Path Now Before 1996

You can test your path now. Call DMAC at 540-667-4695. If you cannot reach us, then your local telephone system must be changed in the next three months. Otherwise you will not be able to dial us -- and significant parts of Los Angeles, Chicago and other places directly. The AT&T operator will dial the number for you for a fee after the first of the year.
