Piped Data Now Accepted by Druns

Clients think up the nicest improvements for the Unibase by DMAC environment. On DMAC's latest Tandem UNIX fault tolerant computer system the client wanted to pipe data to file edit and output edit menu programs so that the same program could be used in regularly scheduled runs and in interactive menus displayed to the user under Microsoft Windows 3.1.

Two Problems Solved In Change

Two problems were overcome in making this happen. First, the Unibase by DMAC environment had to be changed to treat piped data different from actual terminal data (more of a streams approach for techies).

Second, under this version of a Windows 3.1 terminal emulator, the user could open up many different windows at the same time. The conflicts with the global variable files had to be resolved.

These improvements will work their way back to the Novell/DOS/OS2 WARP environment shortly.
