Update Mode Speed Triples Again

Many clients say they come to the Unibase by DMAC environment because improvements they suggest are added to the system quickly. We at DMAC call this part of our "Excellence through Evolution."

The last issue of "The Unibase Technical Review" featured an article by Paul Ford & John Elvin of Root3 about an OCR system which had reduced keying time from 150 minutes to 38 minutes.

Well, they kept suggesting improvements in the Update Mode, and we at DMAC kept implementing them until the keying time reached 12 minutes.

Everyone is pleased with this speedup. Most of the improvements affect everything to do with imaging -- so the Unibase by DMAC imaging is that much better. These changes have been incorporated in the standard release versions going out today.
