Editkey Becomes User Hot Key

Unibase by DMAC, release 7.45i, now working through QA and the beta users, provides the user's AID programmer with a Hot Key, called the Editkey, which takes the operator directly to the AID program code at any time —even in the middle of a field.

Editkey Assigned to {FIELD} e For Now

Currently the editkey is {FIELD}e, but users can map the keyboard to provide the key as a single keystroke (over 250 different keys could be mapped, user chooses).

When Editkey Traps Response

The AID programmer traps the Editkey request with a "when editkey perform !something." statement.

Editkey Helps Data Entry and Image Entry

Although requested for the untethered images applications, the editkey gives the user control in a wide range of situations which do not relate to images.
