To Pan or Not To Pan;
Its a Question of Need
Unibase by DMAC users in releases 7.2i, and 7.3i have been exposed to using
the default <ctrl F1>, <ctrl F2>, <ctrl F3> and <ctrl F4> keys
settings mapped to <IU U>, <IU D>, <IU L> and <IU R> respectively.
Change in Default Keyboard Map IN 7.4i
In Unibase by DMAC release 7.4i the default settings were changed to
<IP U>, <IP D>, <IP L>, and <IP R>. What is the difference?
Both Sets Adjust View to Image
The first set in 7.2i and 7.3i enlarged the window for the given field
for the duration of the batch. The second set in 7.4i moves the image behind
the window for the entire record.
User Cannot See What He Wants To See
Users find that if the field does not show in the window, it is because
the deskew, and alignment software has not finished the job. Moving the
image behind the window then allows the one image to fit the windows.
Can Always Map Keyboard To Old Way
Since this is a default value, the old values can be mapped into these
keys, if desired. Which set of keys better fit the definition of panning?
I don't know.
