DMAC To Attend AIIM '97 As Cornerstone Partner

DMAC will be at the April 14 to 17, 1997 Association for Information and Image Management (AIIM) '97 show and conference at Javits Convention Center in New York. Again this year we will be part of Cornerstone's InputAccel Pavilion.

We choose to attend AIIM with Cornerstone because we feel that we would be doing our clients a disservice to pretend that we had an all encompassing solution for data capture from images.

We think economical state of the art solutions will come from melding different vendors products to run seamlessly together. Cornerstone appears to see things the same way.

FIS Based Applets Coming

The Forms Interchange Standard (FIS) method of passing data between vendor applets under InputAccel should become a reality this year.

Four DMAC Applets Being Built

DMAC has four applets under construction. All are designed to use FIS to move data and metadata between them. Cornerstone plans to release a Bacus Naur Form definition this January or February. This rigid definition is required so that when we start testing for adherence to standards, we can interface with any vendor who adheres to the standard.

Progress Depends Upon Others

Will we have much to show at the show? Depends on how fast the Bacus Naur Form definition reaches us. If we do not get it in time, we will be able to demonstrate the user interface of these applets without a final FIS interface -- just as we have had to do with the TeraForm interface while waiting.

Applets Run in Unibase by DMAC

Will these new applets be upwards compatible with the Unibase by DMAC environment? Yes.
