Records Starting With Hidden Fields Now Acceptable in 7.42I

Thanks to Gage's request and willingness to test, records can now start with one or more hidden fields. Kathy Johnson not only did the testing, but also helped decide how to handle the various boundary conditions with this feature.

Our Thanks to User Ideas

As most of DMAC's clients know, we at DMAC want to make the Unibase by DMAC environment the superior data entry, image entry, data capture environment for service organizations. Our problem here of not having a particular feature in Unibase by DMAC is one of either not having a customer request it or not knowing how clients want the feature to work.

Conflicts Handled With Trigger

We are always willing to add features needed by a client when the client will describe how it works and will test the feature. If the feature is not general purpose for most clients or conflicts with historically correct features, we will trigger it with a changeable environment variable.

Over 100 Variables Available

Unibase by DMAC has over 100 of these changeable variables (usually yes or not present) described in Volume Four of the manual set. In release 7.42i these variables appear in either the unibase.ini file or the inherited environment.
