What's In a Name Which Ends in TIF

We at DMAC always go where the clients want us to go with the Unibase by DMAC product. Sometimes new features lead to consequences unforeseen. We have a valued client working with untethered images. To his way of thinking, requiring TIFF (Tagged Image Formatted Files) ending with the extension ".tif" was redundant since the idc ( image display control) file specified image file type. It was, so the restriction that TIFF files have to end in ".tif" was eliminated throughout Unibase by DMAC and Unibase Imaging in release 7.46i.

All of our clients who use untethered images in the future will owe a great deal to this valued client who has extended the untethered concept way beyond DMAC's original thoughts.
