Integrated Into QuickBooks Pro Starting January 1, 2000, DMAC's accounts receivable system switched from one written in Unibase by DMAC to a QuickBooks Pro version of Accounts Receivable. Naturally Paul created all the files from Unibase to feed directly into QuickBooks. Allice and Jim have been planning the switch for about the past three months. The Y2K bug was the main reason for switching. All transactions in the old system were two-digit-date driven. To convert to Y2K compliant programs meant we would change more than 50 programs. We did not have the work force to do it. Jim Riley, our consultant CPA, has been steering us toward an accounting system that is easier to understand by strangers. Since we are growing rapidly, we seem to have many new faces looking at our numbers. We have one concern. We hope that QuickBooks Pro increases the number of concurrent users beyond five before we need it. Alice Foley, our accountant, learns the new way of doing things easily. So, if we have messed up your account, please call us. Alice will get it right quickly.
