Data Management Assistance Corporation was founded in 1989 to provide data capture solutions for organizations such as service bureaus, state and county governments, health care companies, pharmaceutical manufacturers, utilities and postal services. The company’s four founding principals had been working together in the service bureau industry since 1972 when they decided to establish what they hoped would become the premier software developer for the data capture industry. Their combined 68 years of experience, sound planning and careful management has made DMAC the dominant company in its field.
In the early 2000’s two of the founders retired. DMAC is now under the direction of the remaining founders DMAC’s flagship product, Unibase by DMAC, provides processing for image entry, data entry, OCR/ICR reject repair and file output on Windows operating systems. DMAC currently supports more than 5000 workstations in well over 400 separate companies worldwide. The United States accounts for approximately 65 percent of the company’s business with the balance coming from Italy, England, Canada, the Caribbean, Mexico, Latin America, India, Sri Lanka, Australia, Philippines, Taiwan, and Singapore.
Service and support are top DMAC priorities. During business hours, service representatives answer customer calls personally. Email is acknowledged and answered on the day of receipt, or first thing in the morning for overnight transmissions. The majority of customer problems are resolved “same day” with the balance averaging less than a second day. Bugs are frequently fixed within hours and rarely take more than five days. Most Unibase by DMAC new release enhancements originate with DMAC customers working with DMAC’s development team.
